Flagship Residential Campus

Keiser University’s Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Military Science Concentration will provide students with a foundation in leadership, mission command, operation, and training. Coursework will prepare students to join the Army as a commissioned officer upon graduation. The program is designed for students in the Army Reserve Training Corps (ROTC) Program.

Program Objectives

  • Leadership: To develop effective leaders within the Army by providing training, mentorship, and practical experiences that equip individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attributes to lead confidently and make a positive impact in various military settings.
  • Mission Command: To align leaders at all levels to make informed decisions by fostering a shared understanding and trust among team members.
  • Operations: To protect and serve the nation by developing effective strategies to ensure safety and security.
  • Training: Effectively and efficiently protect citizens and the nation by planning and executing effective strategies.

Program Outline

To receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Military Science concentration, students must complete 120 credit hours as described below.  The length of this program is approximately 40 months (this will vary if a student transfers in credits).

Interdisciplinary Concentration (30.0 semester credit hours)

A selection of 15.0 credit hours in the Military Science Concentration and 15.0 credit hours in another eligible discipline. The selection of courses is subject to approval by the dean of academic affairs. Eligible disciplines appear below. Eligible Disciplines: Accounting, Animated Game and Design, Applied Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Cinematic Arts, Criminal Justice, Exercise & Sport Science, Golf Management, Integrated Marketing Communications, Nursing, Political Science, Psychology, Sport Management.

Open Electives (45.0 semester credit hours)

A minimum of 27.0 semester credit hours of the program must be taken at the upper division level. A portion of these 48.0 elective hours also may be utilized to expand the upper division interdisciplinary concentrations or add additional concentrations, if desired.
