Keiser University senior Paraskevi Maria Vergou, fondly referred to as Mavi Vergos recently enjoyed participating in the Go for the Greens Annual Conference held at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort in Orlando, Florida.

A business management major from Athens, Greece, Vergos shared that the event was uniquely tailored to her future goals, as she joined inspirational leaders in the entrepreneurship and corporate worlds who were also golf enthusiasts.

“Attending the mentorship program has allowed me to connect with wonderful and successful women who will act as a major inspiration as I pursue my future career. Not to mention, the opportunity to spend the week in Disney while learning important life skills was truly a magical experience,” said Vergos of the occasion, while sharing that new tools relating to multitasking, teamwork, and critical thinking will be invaluable moving forward.

As a surprise finale, Vergos and teammates also took home the title for the event’s golf tournament held on the final day of the conference.

A Keiser University’s West Palm Beach Flagship campus senior, Vergos added that she’s thankful for the opportunities to flourish. “My Keiser University experience has allowed to me grow both on the golf course and in my career path as a person,” she said while sending special thanks to Flagship Campus President Dr. Gary Vonk, Seahawk Coach Brandon Miller and to Go for the Greens members for the invitation to join the conference.

“We are very proud of Mavi. What an amazing honor to be selected for the prestigious Go For The Greens Conference Mentorship Program. Mavi consistently demonstrates a remarkable commitment to both her academics and athletics. She serves as a shining example of the caliber of student-athlete we aspire to have on our golf team,” said Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach Brandon Miller
