Recently, more than 1,100 runners competed in either the half marathon (13.1 miles) or the full marathon (26.2 miles) at Memorial Park in Stuart. Massage Therapy students from the Port St. Lucie campus were on hand provide recovery massage to runners. Under the direction of Dr. Sokol the students assisted athletes from 7:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. The runners were very appreciative and commented on how well the students performed.
They worked alongside MT from Elements Massage the host sponsor of the marathon. Elements currently employs Keiser graduates and they are looking for others to join them.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
