Keiser University Bachelor of Science in Nursing program twins Addi and Avri Redmondet recently shared that they’ve always been inspired to heal and lift others.

“We chose the nursing profession because we see how challenging our world can be, and we believe people deserve compassion, truth, and someone who will not turn away from their pain. In a person’s lowest moment, even a small sign of hope can make a real difference. We want to be that light, the nurses who show up with honesty, empathy, and steady support,” said Avri.

The Pair Say Their Sisterly Bond is Invaluable

“Being twins, we are inseparable and do absolutely everything together. We are best friends and support each other in every part of life. In school, we study side by side, help each other with difficult material, and keep each other motivated when things get stressful. Outside of academics, we are always there for each other through challenges and celebrations. We remind each other of our strengths, encourage each other to keep going, and share each other’s dreams and goals. Having my sister by my side makes the journey feel lighter, more meaningful, and full of purpose,” said Avri.

The two shared that they are thankful to embrace a profession that enables them to save lives while instilling comfort and hope.

“For us, making even the smallest difference in someone’s life is what matters most. We want to remind people that the world can still be gentle, even on their hardest days, and we feel called to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves. Our faith also plays a big role in this journey. By caring for others, we feel we are serving God and His people,” said Avri.

The Learning Environment Fosters Success

Drawn to Keiser because of the one-on-one attention it offers, Addi and Avri say they are thankful to be in an environment where they will continue to thrive.

“The hands-on learning and smaller class sizes stood out because they create a space where we can really connect with instructors and classmates. We wanted to learn in an environment that helps us build confidence, care with intention, and advocate for our patients. Keiser’s focus on preparing students for real-world nursing and helping them become compassionate, capable professionals made it the right choice for us. Being here allows us to continue pursuing our calling and preparing to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others,” said Addi.

Avri agrees.  “Keiser University has supported us by providing guidance, encouragement, and the tools we need to grow as future nurses. The instructors inspire us to challenge ourselves while building confidence in our abilities. Through our coursework and the supportive community, we’ve been able to explore our passion for nursing and deepen our understanding of what it means to care for others. KU has helped us stay focused on our goals, strengthen our skills, and continue developing into the compassionate nurses we aspire to be,” she said.

The Sisters Inspire Instructors and Fellow Classmates

Keiser University Flagship Campus Nursing Program Director Alida Bowman shared how rewarding it is to watch the two develop into confident healthcare professionals. “I am so proud of Addi and Avri for their dedication and passion for the nursing profession. They will make a significant difference in the lives of the patients and families they care for,” she said.

For all their goals, the Redmondet sisters shared that perseverance is key.

“Never underestimate the power of showing up every single day. Be consistent and stay determined, because time will pass whether you take action or not. Every effort you make, no matter how small, is building the future you want. Keep pushing, stay focused, and trust the process. Your dedication today will turn your dreams into reality, and every step forward is proof that you are capable of achieving greatness,” smiled Addi.
