Students in Advanced Biology presented detailed advancements in the animal kingdom. Each group chose three phyla to research and present to the class. They discussed the distinguishing characteristics of each phylum along with two examples of animals in that phylum and found an interesting fact about that group not covered in their textbook. The information from each group presentation was used to complete an animal diversity worksheet covering all the phyla. During this process, students learned about animal groups they had never heard of and had a new appreciation of the diversity of life.
