A Crime Scene Technology class from the West Palm Beach campus went to the West Palm Police Department Crime Scene Unit for a tour hosted by CSI Supervisor King C. Brown. The students got to see the Latent Print Examiner Unit, and observed fingerprints being submitted to the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). King Brown showed them the office areas and demonstrated Superglue Fuming, using a fuming wand, and Iodine Fuming using a pipette. The students did very well when King tested them, and he was quite impressed with their readiness. King also showed the students how they photograph latent fingerprints using an Alternate Light Source.
