In the Exercise Physiology class, the students in the SMFT program learned the chemical makeup of a glucose polymer solution, or sports drinks. They had a taste testing from other students, staff, and faculty that used different flavors of Kool-Aid, lemonade, soda, water, and a touch of sodium. The ability to understand these solutions makes it easier to students to make their own drinks instead of the products purchased in the stores.
