The Lakeland academic department and Program Directors held their Fall Advisory Board meeting. A strong group of community leaders, including some Lakeland graduates who are now working in their respective fields, came out for a night of engagement, feedback, and connection. Our Campus President, Rebecca McDonnell, and Academic Dean, Merrie Beth Lake, provided valuable data and information on our campus development, programmatic growth, and future plans. We also recognized three Employer of Choice awards for their support of KU Lakeland: Watson Clinic, Florida Hospital Tampa, and Central Florida Cancer Institute.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
