Bachelor of Science and Dietetic (BSDN) students attending DIE 4564 Research Methods completed a qualitative survey activity that served the multiple purposes of practicing qualitative data collection and analysis methods, gathering data for the Keiser University Lakeland Campus Wellness Initiative, and promoting National Nutrition Month. The purpose of the survey was to determine what the students want and will use as part of a Wellness Initiative. The educational booths focused on “Not All Milk is Created Equally” and asked students to compare the Nutrition Facts labels between cow’s milk, soy milk, almond milk, cashew milk, and coconut milk. The booths challenged students to think about what is in their milk choices so they can make better informed choices on the nutritional quality of what they drink. Information from the student surveys were submitted to administration in support of the campus Wellness Initiative.
