The Melbourne campus OTA students demonstrated creativity and had a lot of fun while participating in Therapeutic Media group competencies. One group simulated individuals with PTSD by illustrated their feelings and emotions on mannequin heads then transferring to their own faces. Another group of individuals with simulated anger management issues were instructed how incorporated dance moves to release their aggression. Therapeutic Media utilizes many forms of creative media: crafts, movement, music, painting and drama to meet therapeutic goals established for Occupational Therapy intervention.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
