Mr. Rick Martino, PGA Master Professional, PGA Teacher of the Year in 1997, and Board Member for Keiser University College of Golf & Sport Management, hosted Keiser University College of Golf & Sport Management students at Trump National Golf Club, where he is the Director of Instruction. Mr. Martino conducted a tour of his indoor teaching facility and related his personal experiences in developing into a world-class teacher from his first professional teaching position at The University of Maryland, to his stint as Director of Instruction at Oakmont Country Club, then onto his ten years as The PGA of America’s Director of Instruction, to his present position as Director of Instruction at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida. During his time at Oakmont, he won the PGA National Teacher of the Year Award in 1997. He explained his teaching philosophy to students and how it related the instruction he provides to golfers of all skill levels, from major champions to rank beginners. After fielding questions from students, he provided individual lessons to the visiting students using JC Video swing analysis software and the Trackman Launch Monitor. Students were unanimous in their praise of Mr. Martino’s presentation and hands-on instruction.
