Each summer Sarasota’s Center for Culinary Arts hosts a field trip for Primrose School. Assistant director Dianne Wudte brings the children that are participating in the summer program to the college for some cooking lessons. This year Mrs. Thomsen and Mrs. Artemik helped chaperone the children. After a tour of all the kitchens, the children made their own pizzas. Stretching the dough and topping it themselves. The kids also made chocolate chip cookies. Chef Samantha Slechta with help from Meshach Boyd and Baking and Pastry student Stephanie Martinez worked with the children who were polite and smiling all day.
