The Christopher and Dana Reeves Foundation’s Paralysis Resource Center generously supplied OTA students in the Neurological Disorders, Assessment, and Treatment Strategies class with resources to support their understanding of life after paralysis. Each student received a copy of the Paralysis Resource Guide as well as informational pocket guides regarding autonomic dysreflexia, deep vein thrombosis, and sepsis. The foundation also supplied several DVDs to further the knowledge of students with respect to paralysis and traumatic brain injury.  Students also viewed informative videos about paralysis as well as documentary about the life of Christopher Reeves as he faced and met the challenges of life after paralysis. Students became aware of the struggles faced by so many with a lens of hope for life “moving forward.”
