The most recent President’s Award given out at the Ft. Myers campus was presented to a student who has been universally praised by faculty, staff and fellow students. Karla Zavala has set the bar extremely high at the Fort Myers campus in many areas, including professionalism, work ethic and initiative. However, it has been her overwhelming display of civility that earned her the President’s Award recognition. Karla is always exceptionally polite, courteous and pleasant with every person she encounters on the campus. Beyond doing so due to the importance of showing civility in the working world, Karla’s natural disposition seems to genuinely embody this trait. Congratulations, Karla!
