The Clearwater Campus, along with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and professionals in the Clearwater community conducted their first Advisory Board meeting. Gina Cossey, Campus President, welcomed the group expressing her appreciation for all they have done for our students, staff and faculty. This was followed by the presentation of the Employer Choice Award for 2016 to the Community Health Center of Pinellas, with Marcia Cook accepting. The Center was chosen because they have served on the Advisory Board for years, are an externship site for students, send representatives to attend Open Houses, and have hired numerous graduates. After a dinner of chicken masala, steamed green beans, wild rice, cookies and brownies, the degree programs broke out to conduct their meetings.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
