Instructor Cynthia Parker’s Maternal/Newborn class attended the 2017 Tampa Birth and Baby Expo recently. Students were able to interact with expectant moms, dads, and families from Pinellas, Hillsborough and surrounding counties for a day of seminars pertaining to issues in contemporary childbirth. Vendors and other agencies that serve the general community as resources for both expectant and new parents were also present to aid the nursing students with information that will help them in referring their patients to services in the area.
