Keiser University College of Golf Program Director Brian Hughes, a PGA Master Professional, and John Callahan, a PGA Professional, Professor and Golf Magazine Adjunct Top 100 Instructor, recently conducted a Coaches Clinic at Keiser University’s Flagship Campus for 12 Florida High School Golf Coaches.

Hughes and Callahan thanked the Florida High School Athletic Association and Ed Thompson, its Director of Athletics for partnering in the endeavor, and praised the coaches for their attitude, interest, and involvement throughout the day. The enthusiastic group of coaches received two hours of classroom instruction on the Rules of Golf and Best Practices for High School Coaches, and another two hours of hands on golf swing training at the university’s outdoor training area. They then tested their new skills at the PGA National Resort and Spa Golf Course where they enjoyed an 18-hole game. The group was very impressed with the content and professional delivery of the critical information. The clinic was scheduled by Flagship Campus Community Resource Coordinator Liz Snyder. Plans are  to make it an annual event.
