The College of Golf was recently represented at the 2017 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida as Community Resource Coordinator Liz Snyder, Executive Director of Golf Operations Dr. Eric Wilson, and Golf Program Director Brian Hughes set up a booth on the floor of the event and welcomed graduates, colleagues, and visitors throughout the week.

A major highlight experienced by Keiser University College of Golf students as part of their educational experience, many students enjoyed the opportunity to visit the Merchandise Show as they familiarized themselves with the vagaries of the golf industry while networking with PGA Professionals and industry experts. Graduates of The College of Golf who are working in the golf industry also took time from their busy schedules to stop by the booth and share their successes with Ms. Snyder, Dr. Wilson, and Mr. Hughes.

As reported by The PGA of America, the 64th annual ‘MAJOR of Golf Business,’ event allowed those in attendance to uncover the newest products, trends and technology from more than 1,000 exhibiting golf companies and brands, including 271 companies new to the event, thus creating the world’s largest business-to-business golf event within 1 million square feet of interactive exhibit, demonstration and meeting space.  In addition, it successfully marked the kickoff to the PGA of America’s Centennial Celebration and welcomed more than 40,000 golf industry professionals from all 50 states and 84 countries around the world.  The event drove a 3 percent increase in overall attendance over 2016.
