For right handed golfers, hitting a ball left handed is a daunting task. However for the last five weeks, students in Keiser University’s College of Golf Advanced Instruction Class have been doing just that. While learning from watching fellow students, their efforts were capped off by a recent contest that tested their newly acquired skills.

Each winner and coach received a Keiser University three ring binder for their Teaching Manual, a project due on the last day of class. They included:

  • Michael Tree – Chipping Champion
  • Edmund Ryan – Putting Champion
  • Zachery Luce – Overall Short Game Champion
  • David Howard – Closest to the Pin Champion

“Congratulations to the winners, said Dr. Eric Wilson, a PGA Master Professional and Executive Director of Golf Operations at Keiser University’s College of Golf and Sport Management. Hitting ‘lefty’ provided the group a taste of what beginning golfers go through as well as valuable hands-on teaching practice,” he said.
