Members of the Student Dietetic Association, along with faculty advisor Jennifer Keil, joined together with the Broward Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (BAND) to assist a local food bank, Feeding South Florida, with the inspection and sorting of rescued food. Members of the SDA and BAND, along with other community volunteers, were able to aid in the inspection and sorting of 19,480 pounds of food and ultimately helped create 16,233 meals.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
