The Flagship Campus’ Student Government Association recently spearheaded a collection for Hurricane Harvey survivors, in support of fellow student Morgan Stuive, a senior, from Portland, Texas who wanted to help her home state. The students came up with the idea to host a collection for needed clothes, shoes, socks, food and hygiene products. Seahawk Nation rose to the occasion, without hesitation.

Students, faculty, staff, coaches and administrators all chipped in. In less than 48 hours the group collected bags and boxes full of needed supplies.

“I really wanted to do something to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston. I consider Keiser University my home away from home and it’s great to see that all of Seahawk Nation stepped up to help those in need. Our efforts to contribute to this collection showed a sense of community here on our Flagship Campus. I really want to thank everyone that participated,” said Morgan.
