Students with the Bachelor of Science in Forensic Investigation (BSFI) Program at Keiser University’s Jacksonville campus recently visited the Duval County Courthouse to watch a defendant sentencing in the Juvenile Division.  Their instructor, Thomas Brady, MFS, previously worked at the courthouse along the Circuit Court Judge whose courtroom the class visited.

Students Tanika Jones, Chime Tobler, Valisa Winding, Loretta Williams, Megan Wood, Joseph Leininger and Timika Wright took part in an interactive discussion with the judge about the juvenile court process.

They witnessed a homicide defendant sentencing in a high profile case and were the only non-official spectators in the courtroom when the verdict was read: Guilty!  All but one of the students participating will graduate in June 2018.
