David Alexander, a current Keiser University Health Services Administration student, has been volunteering at Lee Memorial Hospital for three years now in order to sharpen his interpersonal and professional skills.  Acting as a hospital liaison to the patients’ families, David sits with family members while their loved ones go through surgical procedures.  During this time, he keeps the families up to date on progress, assists them in remaining calm and relaxed, and serves as an intermediary between the family and doctors.  Campus President, Nancy Tedros, had this to say about our standout student: “David is the President of the Student Government Association and a work study.  He is very engaged in the campus and his learning.  David exemplifies service learning in all that he does!”
