The Ft. Lauderdale campus celebrated Student Appreciation day with a special appearance from the KU Seahawk. The students heard about alumni relations from Director John Hoatson who also spoke to the students about our adopted women’s soccer team. The students enjoyed food, music, games, and friendship. They had the opportunity to network with all the student organizations on campus including the National Student Nurses Association, Student Government, Phi Theta Kappa, Student Occupational Therapy Association, Student Physical Therapy Association, Student Veterans of America, The Psychology Club, KU Physician Assistant Student Association, Pi Alpha and the new Legal Studies Society. Students were also able to get information from visiting organizations such as Insurance for Students, Women in Distress, Tri Rail, Broward County Transit, and the American Diabetes Foundation.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
