The Fort Lauderdale campus welcomed the Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of African American Human Resource Professionals for a panel discussion. The discussion was geared towards exploring a collaborative effort for opportunities between higher education and Broward County’s business community. The panel experts included: Mary Davids, President of the NAAAHR South Florida Chapter, Dr. Rosalind Osgood, Chair School Board of Broward County, and our very own Dr. Melissa Gerdes, Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Services. Two elected officials were also in attendance as audience members, Florida Senator Christopher Smith and Lauderhill Commissioner Howard Berger.
