Ft. Myers Forensic Investigation Students Attend Advanced Seminar

Fort Myers campus hosted a two day Forensic Light Source Technology and Documentation course, with BSFI students working with forensic specialists from all over South Florida.  Walter Hiller and Dave Gamble from SPEX Forensics, a prominent manufacturer of forensic instrumentation presented the seminar on the use of lasers and alternate light sources.  Attendees received both didactic and practical traiing in the use of lasers and alternate light sources in the discovery and documentation of fingerprints, biological evidence, and pattern injury. As a result of attending the seminar, one of the students has been accepted for extern placement at the Cape Coral Police Department when she has completed the prerequisite courses.
