The Keiser University National Collegiate Club Golf Association (NCCGA) Golf Team won its second Regional Championship in a row last weekend at The Woodlands Golf Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Seahawks, led by Captain Daniel Pachon-Vargas who finished second in the overall individual competition with rounds of 77-72 = 149, won by 27 strokes over the runner-up University of Central Florida, who fielded three teams. Others in the field included Florida Atlantic University and the University of Miami. The Seahawks placed four golfers in the Top Ten: Daniel Pachon-Vargas 2nd, Brad Costa 4th, Raphael Tolentino 6th, and Jonathan Lipsey T-7th. The victory earned the Seahawks an invitation to the NCCGA National Championships in San Antonio, Texas in November. The NCCGA is the governing body for collegiate club golf. Its mission is to provide a competitive outlet for college students not playing varsity golf in college. Over 250 colleges have official NCCGA Club Golf Teams, including Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Georgia, and UCLA.
