The Keiser University football team took a moment before Saturday’s game to honor breast cancer survivors and bring attention to the cause.

The breast cancer awareness event took place at Keiser University’s football field just prior to the Seahawks defeating Webber International University 28-7 in the Mid-South Conference Sun Division matchup.

Seahawk football players and former roommates Tyler Foster and Alessandro Cantillo were featured on the WPTV report, along with their mothers, to share their stories of inspiration and how they continue their fight against the disease. The pair share a unique bond and provide each other with inspiration as their families face the challenge together.

“I look at Ty as my little brother,” said Cantillo. “So was glad to be there to share our family’s experience and that things can get better, as she is now well and strong.”
