Keiser University nursing students are enjoying the opportunity to assist the United Way of Palm Beach County with COVID19 vaccine administrations.

Members of the program are pleased to join professionals from the Health Care District of Palm Beach County and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue as they support the United Way in the important effort by assisting with post-vaccination patient monitoring, and more. “This is one of most meaningful community events I have attended, as our students learn a great deal about serving the community and can see that taking care of patients does not always involve a clinical setting and that there are people in need of care everywhere,” said Keiser University West Palm Beach campus Instructor Regina Schuett of the occasions which are held at the South Florida Fair Grounds.

Several of the volunteers were members of the American Association for Men in Nursing (AAMN). Founded in 1971, the vision of the AAMN is to be the association of choice representing men in nursing while providing a framework for nurses to discuss and influence factors that affect men as nurses.
