Niche’s methodology for rankings is based on rigorous analysis of academic, admissions, financial, and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews from students and alumni. The list comprises 100% online universities as well as colleges that offer a majority of their degrees online. Some of the factors considered are academics, value and quality of professors. These account for 70 percent of the Source Weight of the grade. Additionally, overall experience of students and alumni are measured.
