Keiser University Vice Chancellor Robert Keiser, Ph.D., M.B.A., has been named among the 2022 honorees for the South Florida Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 awards.

The award recognizes 40 outstanding professionals under the age of 40 based in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties for their leadership, success in business and contributions to their communities. Hundreds of nominations are received annually for the award, which spotlights some of our region’s most entrepreneurial and influential young leaders.

Keiser joined Keiser University in January 2021 as the Vice Chancellor of the Graduate School. In this role, he manages graduate school operations at 21 Keiser University campuses throughout Florida and two international locations overseeing more than 100 faculty and staff. He previously served as the Executive Director of Southeastern College, responsible for management of the school’s five campuses in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Under his leadership, Keiser University’s Graduate School has expanded its degree offerings to include academic programs that address workforce shortages in many of Florida’s critical and emerging industries. In May, Keiser University announced a new Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree meant to address Florida’s nursing shortage in women’s health. The new program is the only women’s health master’s program offered in Florida and comes at a critical time as the state is facing a shortfall of nearly 60,000 nurses by 2035 according to Florida Hospital Association.

Also in May, the Keiser University Graduate School announced a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Homeland Security aimed at growing DHS’s workforce in key areas related to national security and other pertinent homeland security missions.

In addition to his commitment to improving lives through education, Keiser is committed to improving the lives of those around him through charitable work. His previous partnerships and contributions of volunteer hours and resources include the All-Saints Soup Kitchen, American Diabetes Association, March of Dimes Foundation, First Tee, American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Foundation, and Soldier Rush.

In September 2021, the South Florida Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation named Keiser among the 2021 recipients of the 40 Under 40 Outstanding Young Professionals of South Florida award.

Keiser University is a private, independent, non-profit university serving nearly 20,000 students at 21 Florida campuses, online, and two international sites.
