It’s National Nutrition Month, a time set aside each year to help everyone develop good eating habits and to say physically active. Keiser University’s Port St. Lucie Dietetics and Nutrition Department hosted a Nutrition Fair with the theme, “Go Further with Food.” More than 100 students, faculty, and staff took part in the event, checking out educational nutrition information and food samples.
Two community partners, FirstLantic Healthcare and HANDS of St. Lucie County also participated, giving out information and prizes. KU-Port St. Lucie medical assisting program joined in by operating a blood pressure station and providing literature on preventing and managing the high blood pressure.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
