Over 75 students and business department faculty members from the Flagship campus recently welcomed Jose Santana, La-Z-Boy’s Vice President and Director of Latin America Sales and Business Development to campus. While sharing the history of La-Z-Boy’s international growth, Santana also shared the organization’s challenges and opportunities while articulating valuable lessons and insights he’s gained relating to the complex world of business.

“The goal of exposing our students to distinguished business leaders is to have them share their first-hand knowledge of the realities students will face in the business world,” said Dr. Eric Terry,  business professor, who also added that such lectures provide an invaluable lesson for students as they prepare for their new careers.

Having grown from when the first recliner was born in 1928, La-Z-Boy today employs thousands of dedicated workers in manufacturing plants across North America.
