The Lakeland Library strives to collaborate with the Lakeland faculty.  One opportunity came to the Library Director, Dr. Karyn Zelbovitz via a Pearson Vue Testing she was asked to proctor. This led to a combined effort of the Lakeland librarians that ensured the community collaboration with a local pediatric office was successful.  A clinical site for our Medical Assisting needed RMA certification through American Medical Technologists, a test provided by Pearson Vue according to Lakeland Medical Assisting Department Head, Kevin Hix.  The Lakeland library team of Kelly McDonald, Elizabeth Brown, Audra Rose, and Karyn Zelbovitz proctor many admissions, placement, and certification tests in the library.  The multifaceted collaboration between departments made for a very happy clinical site that had five of their employees tested for certification.  One of the testing applicants was a graduate of Keiser University Lakeland Medical Assisting program.  Upon earning her certification she beamed with joy to her colleagues that she was a graduate from Lakeland Keiser University Medical Assisting Program.
