The Miami campus Physical Therapist Assistant program held the pinning ceremony for its first cohort of graduates. The Miami campus is exceptionally proud of the accomplishments of the cohort one graduates as well as that of their faculty Dr. Claudia Medeiros, Dr. Melissa Ramos and Dr. Marangela Prysiazny Obispo, Program Director. After a challenging yet rewarding process for both students and staff, the Miami campus Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant program was granted accreditation on May 4, 2016 through the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The next step for theses PTA graduates is to take their boards in July and many already have job offers through the contacts made during their clinical externships.
