The Nursing and Legal Studies programs joined up to have a discussion on medical malpractice in the field of nursing. Chris Allamanno, Program Director for the Legal Studies program and Academic Dean Belis, both attorneys, discussed how a legal case is prepared when it comes to medical malpractice. Each student was paired with an element of negligence and matched it up with the nursing standard of care.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
