OTA Life Span students presented to the families and children of Ronald McDonald House on Monday June 8th, the topics of the presentations were Fall Prevention with children and Childhood Obesity Risk Factors. These were projects the students put together in class and the best 2 projects were selected to be presented to RMH families that day. After the presentations the students broke up into stations to assist with a BBQ for the families staying at RMH. The OTA class brought fruits, cookies, and BBQ side dishes; they even had an ice cream station of which was the most popular station. The families especially loved the ice cream treat for the kids and themselves.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
