Faculty members at the Orlando campus facilitated a Lunch & Learn addressing test anxiety, study skills, and some tips and techniques to overcome that anxiety. This was the second of a series of seminars that faculty are providing for students to be more successful during the completion of their programs.
One of the specific activities was Professor Fawley having the students close their eyes to imagine they were on a fishing trip. On this fishing trip, everything is falling into place (perfect drinks, perfect day, perfect lake, perfect cast), to the point where the fish didn’t even matter. The lesson was the importance of journey.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
