Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physical Therapist Assistant programs participated in an interprofessional learning activity. Cultivating collaborative practice for providing client- or patient-centered health care. Students exchanged ideas and methods while providing clients with passive range of motion and therapeutic exercises.
The OTA students spent time training the first PTA cohort on scapular mobilization. The students all reported how fantastic is was to collaborate with their future colleagues. The PTA students are looking forward to reciprocate and teach the OTA students gait training.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
