The Pembroke Pines campus had the honor to host a guest speaker from Jackson Memorial Hospital, Karly Streisfeld, MA,OTR/L. This remarkable occupational therapist brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience; specifically her OT experience from Haiti post-earthquake.  In Haiti, she worked with a comprehensive medical team to organize rehabilitation programs in the project MediShare following the 2010 earthquake that affected Port-Au-Prince. She has since returned to Haiti multiple times and currently participates on a board of directors of the Haiti Rehab Project, a non-profit organization serving those that need rehabilitation.  She most recently competed in the 2015  American Ninja Warriors in Orlando Florida in hopes to create awareness of the rehabilitation needs in Haiti.
