KU-Pembroke Pines held a “Time 2 SHINE” Empowerment Seminar for its faculty, staff, and students; and invited the greater community to join as well.
The seminar offer participants to learn important leadership truths, success principles, and practical applications for their personal and professional lives. Among the activities during the seminar, R&B singer Antonia Jenae’ performed her song “DESTINY” and spoken word artist Shetawn “Sapphire Soul” Reid delivered an inspirational piece.
CEO and Founder of B.O.S.S. Leadership Institute B. Nathaniel Smith exemplified what leadership is and reminded those in the audience that “YOU MATTER.” Speaker Extraordinaire Anthony Henderson had attendees on their feet as he concluded the evening with a high impact presentation designed to help attendees to take their life to the next level. The goal was to have each attendee leave the event with tools or skills needed to make their community and the world better. The message to all: “You are a STAR, and you’ve been created 2 SHINE!”
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
