Keiser University’s Student Dietetics Association (SDA) tackled the early morning heat and humidity to participate in the 2015 Broward Heart Walk at Nova Southeastern University.  The highlight of the event was a 5k/1 mile Red Cap Walk to raise money for the American Heart Association (AHA) whose mission is to “prevent, treat and defeat cardiovascular disease.” Congratulations to the SDA who surpassed their $1,000 goal by raising $1,115!  A portion of the fundraising efforts is proceeds from an SDA bake sale in the Student Lounge. The SDA thanks Keiser students for helping them exceed their goal. Keiser’s SDA, along with many individual contributors and South Florida’s top businesses participated and raised more than $754,000. Participants from Keiser’s SDA included President Ashya Trotter, Isha Palmer, Destiny Crayton, Robin Dupres, Jennifer Saleh, Karen Two Shoes and Dietetics & Nutrition instructor Dr. Ioana Scripa.
