The ‘Persuasion’ class on the Port St. Lucie campus brought elements from the show ‘Shark Tank’ into the classroom last week. The Persuasion class is part of the Social Media Communications degree, and students in groups of two or three were tasked to come up with an original product or idea that fills a current need in society. Acting as entrepreneurs, they pitched their idea to potential investors, who were actually KU staff members. The students needed to use their new-found knowledge on persuasive marketing in order to secure a full investment from one of the investors.
