Last term,  the speech class from the Port St. Lucie campus of Keiser University volunteered at Savanna Ridge Elementary School. Each student was placed into their own classroom where they presented on fun and energetic topics, read stories to the class, and assisted the teacher with various tasks. Savanna Ridge said the event was very well received, and they look forward to having them back in the future. The trip taught the students the value of being able to communicate and present to a variety of audiences no matter the age; they need to be prepared for anything.
