The College of Golf Seahawks won the National Collegiate Golf Club Association (NCCGA) South Florida Regional #2 this weekend by 25 strokes over UCF to complete a sweep in the 2016 spring tournaments.  The tournament was played over two days in Sarasota, Florida at the Bent Tree Country Club.  The win ensures the Seahawks a sixth straight invitation to the national tournament in West Virginia on April 23rd and 24th.

The Seahawks are ranked 14th in the nation.  The team was led by Ben Kassman and Sampson Marino with a two-day total of 154 which placed them tied fourh.  Coach Longabucco said, “Although the team did not play their best this weekend, the mission of the regional win was accomplished which guaranteed our invitation to nationals. This is a very deep team, and we learned a lot this weekend.  I’m confident we can compete at Nationals.”
