Keiser University’s Seahawk Spirit Squad recently placed first in their age group finishing as Grand Champions at the Diamond Cheer and Dance Christmas Championship challenge held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
“This was our first competition and our goal was to perform well. Not only did we do that, but we received a coveted bid to participate in the Diamond Cheer and Dance National Championship competitions. I am so proud of the kids for working hard since we only have been in existence for two years,” said Head Coach Laura Pucker of the Flagship campus team, which scored 223.3 with a routine consisting of jazz, pom, and hip-hop elements.
The group now receives an automatic entry into the finale which will take place in Jacksonville, Florida in May.
