As some of you may remember, Skylar suffered various unfortunate injuries from a soccer ball to the head while filming the “Skylar Swag” video in Fort Myers. It has been a long road to recovery, but the Ft. Myers campus is happy to report that he has finally progressed to occupational therapy. Students currently in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program utilized a custom splint to stabilize the area of his Colles’ fracture, kinesiology tape for healing and support, and a Skylar-sized therapy ball to build stability and strength. We have no doubt that Skylar will be back in flight in no time, as he is literally in great hands.
My instructors believed in me. They were more than instructors, they tried to get to know you as a person and tried to understand your goals so they could push you towards them. Student services helped me find a job before I even graduated. Everyone was dedicated to my overall success.
