The Port St. Lucie campus speech class volunteered for the United Way at the Martin County Fairgrounds. The United Way will play host to their annual ‘White Doves’ holiday project on December 18. This project serves over 2,000 needy children and families in the area as well as military personnel families. People are able to register and attend the event to shop for Christmas presents, clothing, and food. Keiser students helped set up for the event by organizing hundreds of toy and food donations, setting up decorations and tables, and moving things all over the fairgrounds. Next, students are researching volunteer agencies in the community and giving speeches about those places including the United Way.
