The Melbourne campus has adopted the KU Seahawk swim team and, as part of our Spirt Day, we held a cake competition open to faculty, staff, and students. Lots of very creative, tasty cakes were entered and choosing a winner was difficult for the judges. Judging was based on taste, creativity and presentation. The top prize went to Destiny Scott of the diagnostic medical sonography (DMS) program for her “Beachin’ it” entry. Second prize went to Jamie Orr from DMS for her “Lifesaver” cake. The third prize went to Chef Hayes from Culinary Arts for her “Race to the Finish Line” creation. A big thank you to all the competitors that took the time and energy to participate and show their team spirit.
