Dr. Kate Parparian and Leslie Haviland from Student Services took the Economics class to visit Waterblasting Technologies, in Stuart, FL. Waterblasting Technologies, Inc. manufactures the Stripe Hog® Waterblasting System and Smart Vac® Vacuum Systems which are used to remove rubber deposits from touchdown zones on runways and all types of traffic markings from asphalt and concrete runways and roadways. They toured part of their facilities and met with Chief Operating Office Stacey Goldberg. The students discussed their questions about starting new careers and what they would need to do to move up the corporate ladder as well as listened to the CEO and COO share their stories about how they got where they are today in their industry.
Note the students pointing at the hogs on the wall. The company’s stripe hog technology was named after to the local hogs, which you can see throughout the Treasure Coast.
